ChemEditors
is primarily an Internet-based service.
Almost all material is received by e-mail
and is edited on file. The edited files
are then returned to the client by e-mail.
Although we accept a range of file formats,
Microsoft Word is the most widely used
application and is therefore the most
convenient. Please consult ChemEditors
if you wish to use other file formats.
Unless otherwise instructed, ChemEditors
uses American English.
The level of service provided depends
on the request of the client and the
quality of the material supplied. We
provide three levels of service:

service |
Checking and correction of spelling,
grammar, and general technical logic. |
| Special service |
Includes the regular service plus significant
rewriting and reorganization of the text. |
| Premium
service |
Includes the regular or special service,
plus checking of chemical nomenclature and
references, and formatting to required journal
or publisher style. |

Each service includes
a short report that summarizes the editor’s
suggested changes.
Our fee schedule and turnaround times are
highly competitive. Both depend on several
factors:
• Total word
count
• Required completion date
• Standard of English in the original
document
• Level of service requested
A quotation is issued to the client
for each job submitted to ChemEditors. The
general fee schedule is based on a rate
of Australian dollars per 1000 words. |

The turnaround time schedule
should be regarded as flexible and variations
may occur depending on the commitments of ChemEditors.
If requested completion dates are significantly
earlier than our normal turnaround times, a surcharge
may be applied. However, ChemEditors endeavors
to be as flexible as possible. |

To receive a free no-obligation
quotation, please attach the intended file
(including all tables, figure captions,
and references) in an e-mail message to
edit@chemeditors.com.au
Please include:
• Preferred level of service
• Intended place of publication or
target audience
• Any instructions that the author
deems to be relevant to assist the editing
process
• Deadline
• Intended method of payment
After assessing the quality
of the supplied material, ChemEditors will
formulate a quotation based on the document
word count.
When the client provides approval for ChemEditors
to proceed, a reply stating the expected
completion time will be sent to the client.
